Black Badge

K.O. Carson, an ex-boxer and policeman, as the Black Badge began fighting crime in Astro City's Bakerville neighborhood in the 1950s, when he felt that traditional law-enforcement wasn't serving the black community fairly. He retired in 1972.
Today, K.O. Carson owns and runs the colorful Bruiser's Bar & Grill, but does not confirm or deny that he was the Black Badge.
