The Gunslinger is an internationally wanted professional assassin who joins the trappings of an Old West gunfighter with advanced, cutting edge technology. He is the son of an American military officer and a Vietnamese woman. He came to Astro City to seek revenge on his father's company, who had murdered the man during the war, but was stopped and apprehended by the Confessor.

Powers: His primary weapons are a pair of high-tech handguns. While he holsters them one one each hip like a gunfighter out of the past, the energy beams they fire make them far deadlier than anything the Old West ever saw. Additionally, in the event his guns are removed from his grasp, teleportation technology allows him to recall them back into the holsters. Over his eyes he wears a transparent visor whose electronic display technology can overlay crosshairs with his vision, aiding his accuracy. Tiny rockets built into the outer side of each boot provide him with clumsy flight, albeit for only a short distance before running dry.
