The Point Man A member of the Omega Rangers in Astro City in the 1980s, he was directly involved in the events of the second Cleopatra's origin. History Hellsignor was on a quest to kill millions of lives to glorify Satan. He defeated the combined might of both the Omega Rangers and The First Family. The Point Man appeared at just the moment Hellsignor was about to receive the Gem of Thebis, and grabbed it before the transfer happened. In a brash, but well calculated move, the Point Man tossed the Gem to Sarah Brandeis, which transformed her into the second Cleopatra. During the Rise of Kerresh the Devastator, the Point Man was a part of the action alongside the Omega Rangers, who were tasked with finding the Apollo Eleven by the Silver Agent. Upon doing so and completing their mission, the Point Man found The Innocent Gun. He fired the weapon upon The Incarnate, against the advice of Grimoire who warned that it was the wrong weapon against the wrong enemy. While it did destroy The Incarnate, it also depowered the Apollo Eleven and led to a major tear in reality. Hundreds of people were killed until the First Family and the N-Forcer were able to patch the tear. Powers The Point Man has the ability of flight and teleportation. In addition, the Point Man generates a triangular projectile, a sort of blade or point. In combat situations, these projectiles are often held in the spaces between his fingertips. With a mere flick, they can be deployed at a target in a moment's notice. Observations He appears head strong, impertinent and shows a lack of remorse about collateral damage. Or as creator Kurt Busiek would put it, "He's kind of a dick".
