The Honor Guard with all of their powers weren't enough to overtake the beings of myth and legend, even with Joe Magarac switching sides. The Myth-Master had them captured and when it came time to drain them of their lives, Loony Leo couldn't pull the switch. He revealed his true self and turned in Zzardo, after freeing the heroes, though the public never knew the being behind the mask of the Myth-Master.
