Nightingale, one of Astro City's many super-heroes, adopted Kittyhawk after an encounter with Stove-Pipe Johnny. During the scuffle, Kittyhawk was exposed to some kind of mind-control chemicals, the compositional nature of which wasn't well known. Powers Initially, she was presumed to have no powers, but eventually Kittyhawk demonstrated: Phasing: Kittyhawk can walk through solid objects, such as walls and doors. Wings: Kittyhawk has retractable wings which allow her to fly. Animal Communication: Kittyhawk can communicate with other intelligent animals, such as Rocket Dog. Enhanced Claws: Kittyhawk's claws can cut rope in a single stroke. Enhanced Intelligence: Kittyhawk is capable of recognizing important systems, and deactivating them.
