History A childhood friend of Martin Chefwick, who became the Mock Turtle, she always held Chefwick under her spell, with him none the wiser about her true devious nature. Chefwick always saw her as sweet Lucia. She could sweet talk him into anything whether it be information or after he became the Mock Turtle, into helping her design schemes. She happened upon the abandoned Chessmen armor in the mid to late 1990s and used Chefwick to help enhance some of the pieces abilities. At the same time, she was starting to make her outward moves into some of other British crime lords territories, with her own troops, the Red Queen's Men. Naturally Clever Dick went to Marty and convinced him that he would be able to regain Dick the upper hand in the turf wars. Poor Marty was still completely unaware of Lucia and that it was her, who was the Red Queen, usurping the power of London's underworld. After he returned to Lucia from a crushing defeat, Lucia revealed her true nature to Marty. Enraged at all her years of feigning kindness and to be repayed by having her forging empire smashed by her ally, she unleashed the Chessmen armor to kill Chefwick. Though the scoured everywhere, her men could not find and later catch up to Chefwick, until he hit Astro City. With the aide of local black masks, Chefwick was able to defeat the Queen's men. Observations Her attire and name, like the Mock Turtle comes from Lewis Carroll's and John Tenniel's drawing from Alice in Wonderland.
