Yolanda Costello tinkered with her father's gloves, alien artifacts taken from a crashed spaceship, while her father was in jail, discovering new powers that they could grant their wearer. Rescuing them after his death, she embarked upon a career of crime, almost falling prey to the Kiefer Square killer before being saved by Steeljack's intervention.
