Buchanan Corners	The small midwestern town that Brian Kinney came from. Located in Hood County.	Named after Captain America's World War II sidekick Bucky's, real name of James Buchanan Barnes.
Caplinville	A small country farming town a few hours distance by train from Astro City. In the story, Pastoral, Cammie Aarons spent was she thought would be a long, boring summer visiting her cousins and learning about rural life on farmland near Caplinville.	Lil Abner creator Al Capp, whose real name was Alfred Caplin. It can also refer to his younger brother Elliot Caplin was a cartoonist as well.
Draketown, Alaska	A town that was destroyed by Thunderhead in 1995. First mentioned Kurt Busiek's Astro City Vol.2 #1.	Writer Arnold Drake. He was the writer on Doom Patrol and his last Doom Patrol story was about a threat to destroy a small town in Maine, which might also be part of the name homage...
Godwin	Another rural community in the midwest near Caplinville.	Comic strip artist Frank Godwin.
Hood County	The county where Buchanan Corners is located. The title is a play on superheroes. According to Kurt Busiek, Cape or Cowl County would have sounded too obvious.
Kardonese	A people whose country, Julius Furst was accused of selling nuclear secrets to. Possibly an alien race, but most likely a foreign country.
Khanistan	A nation in Central Asia near Maga-Dhor. It could possibly be one in the same.
Maga-Dhor	A small nation in Central Asia that the Maharajah of Maga-Dhor ruled over.
Magma Palace	Ruling place of Lord Volcanus and the Insiders. Likely in a volcano near or in Central America. First seen Kurt Busiek's Astro City Vol.2 #3.	None
Mento-Verse	An other dimensional world that is in some way related to mental energies and thought. The Silver Brain was thrown into it by Samaritan.
Mirror Galaxy	A place where the First Family visited in July 1997. Possibly where the Worst Family is from.
Monstro City	Ruled by Madame Majestrix.
